VS-VSKJ166/04PBF Application Field and Working Principle
The VS-VSKJ166/04PBF Rectifier Diode Array is an over-voltage protected power sub-system diode module that can be used in a large number of applications including lighting, security systems, industrial machinery, solar and wind power systems, automotive electronics and appliance control systems.
The VS-VSKJ166/04PBF diode module consists of sixteen (16) power diodes arranged in a multi-anode configuration with ultra-thin oxide passivation film. Its high reverse-wide current rating of 500mW can support an operating voltage up to 170V and provides excellent electrical protection in high-intensity applications.
VS-VSKJ166/04PBF Working Principle
A diode is a two-part electrical component: one portion is an anode and the other is a cathode. The anode connects to the positive side of the power source, and the cathode connects to the negative side. When a current is applied across the junction- when the anode is more positive than the cathode- the diode will conduct allowing electrons to flow freely.
In the VS-VSKJ166/04PBF Rectifier Diode Array, the multiple diodes are configured in series. This allows for more current flow than a single diode alone, making it ideal for applications involving large currents. The power output of the diode array is proportional to the voltage applied across it and the current across each diode in the array.
The VS-VSKJ166/04PBF Rectifier Diode Array also protects the system from over-voltage currents.
