VSC8572XKS-02 Application Field and Working Principle
Introduction
VSC8572XKS-02 is a converter designed by SAS interconnect. It support 8 lane SAS-3 / 29 connections, without relying on additional modules. This device bridges SAS protocols with PCIe ones, allowing SJ server and storage systems to benefit from new hardware encryption and compression feature which are based on white box cryptography.

Working Principle
The VSC8572XKS-02 is a line rate SAS equalizer used to retime 8 SAS lanes, with one lane up to 14Gb/s per direction. It supports 8 SAS lanes whose total width is 32Gb/s. The device also provides transmit and receive internal adaptive source termination and line rate channel output centering.
