W681511DK is a system design platform for W681510 system-on-a-chip (SoC) and W681501 peripheral modules on XMC4000 series ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller from Infineon®. It has all the necessary features to quickly evaluate and develop embedded applications, such as the CAN and LIN bus, capacitive touch buttons and a wide range of other digital and analog peripherals.
Its purpose is to provide a complete set of tools to help developers understand and use the W681510 SoC and W681501 modules, from the hardware to the software. The system includes different components, which can be used to set up and evaluate various applications in various fields. This platform can be used for in-car reliable infotainment, body control, instrument panel, telematics, engine, transmission, embedded safety and many other automotive embedded applications.
The W681510 is the main part of the kit, and is a low-power 32-bit microcontroller with ARM Cortex-M4 processor core utilizing a 2.2V to 5.5V power supply, up to 1202 Mbps Ethernet MAC, 5 Mbps CAN FD, LIN 2.2 bus and capacitive touch controller. It is designed for use in various automotive, industrial and consumer applications. The SoC also features 4 kB of scratch RAM memory, 32 kB of instruction cache, 6MB of internal Flash and 4MB of SRAM. The W681510 also provides hardware protection features for code and data integrity, as well as in-system programming (ISP) and serial connection.
The W681501 peripheral modules are designed for the W681510. It provides CAN FD, LIN bus, Ethernet, USB, digital IO and motor control for in-vehicle systems. The W681501 also supports capacitive touch buttons to allow the design of user interfaces with only one chip. The W681501 also provides various memory options, including SRAM, ROM and Flash for storing code and data, plus a security path option to protect against unauthorized access.
The W681511DK platform includes the W681510 SoC, W681501 peripheral modules, a carrier board and various development software. The carrier board allows users to connect the W681510 or W681501 modules to the external environment. It features a CAN FD transceiver, Ethernet PHY and a USB OTG port.
The included software development tools, such as Infineon’s DAVE™ IDE, allow users to quickly evaluate and develop applications on the W681510 and W681501. The DAVE IDE includes an example project with the necessary interface files and drivers, software libraries, and a debug environment. In addition, users can customize the development environment to their application with the help of the DAVE™ Application Modular Platform (AMFP) and the Industrial Software Library (ISL).
The W681511DK platform is an ideal tool for evaluators and developers of embedded applications. It is the perfect system for quickly evaluating and developing the W681510 and W681501. The included software development tools, such as the Infineon DAVE™ IDE, make it easy to develop and debug applications.
