Film Capacitors

Film capacitors are a type of capacitor manufactured with dielectric films. Film capacitors have a layer of dielectric, typically made of plastic or metal-oxide, which is sandwiched between two metallic plates. The dielectric film substrate provides the necessary electrical insulation and it also supports the metallic plates that store the electrical charges.
