Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) 802GP-E is a RF Transceiver Modules (RF Tx/Rx Modules) designed to connect nodes in IoT applications. It is a low power, robust Isolated and secure Wi-Fi module with high performance to support up to 80 Mbits/s data rate. With an integrated, low latency, frequency hopping and time-division communication protocol, it enables wireless connectivity in harsh environments and long-distance applications. This protocol is based on the IEEE 802.11.ait standards and supports data and audio over a range of up to 1km.
WSN 802GP-E’s main application fields are: industrial automation, medical treatment, wireless audio and video transmission, safety and security monitoring, remote asset tracking and environmental monitoring. Because of its robust, low power, low latency, and isolated design, the WSN 802GP-E is ideal for applications where sensitivity to RF interference is of paramount importance, like medical devices, and for applications that require extended range, performance and stability.
The WSN 802GP-E RF Transceiver Modules have a wide range of applications in wireless data transmission, ranging from small and medium-sized wireless networks to large and complex ones. The 802GP-E module is particularly suitable for applications requiring high throughput and low latency, such as industrial automation, medical device communication, safety and security monitoring, environmental monitoring and remote asset tracking. The working principle of the WSN 802GP-E module is based on the 802.11.ait standard, which is the industry standard for wireless network communications that define how nodes transmit and receive data. The 24-GHz RF module utilizes an integrated frequency hopping scheme to minimize interference between networks. The time-division multiple access (TDMA) communication protocol divides channels into individual timeslots. Each node sends its own packet in its timeslot and all other nodes listen to all the packets sent in their timeslot to minimize interference.
The 802GP-E modules adopt TDMA as their communication protocol. The TDMA protocol allows multiple nodes to share the same frequency channels simultaneously and in an organized manner. The nodes will then send and receive data only in the allotted time slots. However, the main benefit of TDMA is that the nodes can all communicate with each other at the same time, enhancing network performance and improving data throughput rates. Furthermore, TDMA also reduces the overall power consumption, as the nodes can power down the transceivers when they are not in use.
The WSN 802GP-E module also features the Wisenet Access Mode (WAM), a preamble-matched access control mechanism, which prevents nearby nodes from eavesdropping on each other’s transmissions. The WAM mode can also reduce the jamming range of unauthorized nodes, further increasing security and preventing malicious attacks. Additionally, AES-CCMP 128-bit hardware encryption is used to safeguard privacy and add a layer of security to the network.
