Working Principle

The X1227S8I-2.7T1 clock consists of an oscillator and a quartz crystal to keep accurate time, as well as a non-volatile RAM ( Random Access Memory ) to save and maintain precise time-stamping information. The clock\'s operating voltage range is between 2.7V (minimum) to 5.5V (maximum). The clock has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 degree Celsius with a consumption power down to 0.32 microamp.

In addition to setting the time precisely, this device has several other important features. It can perform software reset personalization, access system status register at any time, and be exported by a DST (Daylight Savings Time) algorithm. The device also has flexible interrupt setting for reset, blanking period and alarms.
