The X9116WM8Z is a digital potentiometer which combines the features of a traditional potentiometer with the benefit of digital control. In contrast to a standard potentiometer, the X9116WM8Z does not contain any moving parts, eliminating contact and drift errors, and providing a much more consistent operation. It operates on a single power and ground pin, and has a low noise design.

The X9116WM8Z is designed for use in data acquisition and signal conditioning applications. It allows for control of a signal gain and resistance value via a single digital input which is commonly used for voltage, current and signal measurements. The device uses digital control to provide a high level of accuracy and repeatability when measuring various signals.

The X9116WM8Z is capable of digital acquisition of resistance values ranging from 0 to 65.5K ohms in increments of 40 ohms. The device offers a wide range of input sensitivity and provides a digital control signal with a logic voltage level of 1.5 V/1.8 V.
