Data Acquisition - Digital Potentiometers: The X9269TS24IZ-2.7T1 is a member of a class of advanced digital potentiometers, also known as variable resistance or trimmer elements. The X9269TS24IZ-2.7T1 family of digital potentiometers provide a complete, complex microcontroller-controlled solution for the user to control voltage, current, and resistance in a wide variety of common applications. This type of device replaces traditional mechanical potentiometers and enables faster, more accurate adjustments as well as additional functionality.The X9269TS24IZ-2.7T1 is designed for use in a wide range of industrial, consumer, and scientific applications, including, but not limited to, embedded systems for detection of position, temperature, pressure, sound, vibration, and light. The device can be used in power supplies, switching power converters, automotive systems, A/D and D/A converters, radio frequency systems, and pulse modulation devices.The X9269TS24IZ-2.7T1 is a 256 wiper tap device with digital input/output capability, 256 wiper voltage taps. It provides single-ended and differential output configurations with adjustable gain and offset. The interface is I2C2- or 6-pin SPI-compatible, and can be operated with either a 2.7V or a 5.0V supply voltage. The device features four dedicated pins, two power supply pins, and two enable pins. The X9269TS24IZ-2.7T1 features a fixed 2.7V supply voltage and the device is programmed via an I2C or SPI compatible protocol. The device can be programmed to accept a range of input trimmer values that can be programmed by the user in the HD2C2 or HD6C format. The wiper value can be changed via up/down commands provided using the TWO signal or the ONE signal.
