X9C303V8IT1 is a digital potentiometer (DPOT) designed to provide a reliable and precise resistance setting and adjustment in electronic systems. It is a low cost, low power device that provides a hybrid of digital and analog control, making it ideal for data acquisition, control, and feedback applications. The device is available in three packages: SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuits), TSSOP (Thin Shrink Small Outline Packages), and PDIP (Plastic Dual Inline Packages).The X9C303V8IT1 consists of an on-chip, 8-bit nonvolatile memory for storing resistance setting data, an on-chip 10-bit single-ended analog-to-digital (A/D) converter for monitoring the resistance setting, and a programmable, unity gain on-chip high speed buffer amplifier for providing a low impedance output. The on-chip 10-bit A/D converter provides the system control analog feedback information enabling precise resistance control. The device also contains an on-chip temperature compensation circuit for improved temperature stability.The X9C303V8IT1 operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply and provides three resistance paths of x1, x5, and x25.5x5x1.5x5x25bus. The device operates in either a Serial data transfer or Read/Write mode. In the Read/Write mode, it can accept either single 8-bit data writes, or multiple 8-bit data reads/writes.The X9C303V8IT1 has been developed to provide a cost-effective Digital Potentiometer solution for numerous applications, including data acquisition systems, control systems, mechanical actuators, digital potentiometers, automotive systems, medical systems and electronic tests. X9C303V8IT1 provides users with the flexibility to customize the resistance settings according to their specific applications.In data acquisition applications, X9C303V8IT1 can be used to program the input resistances in order to match the impedance of the signal source, thereby providing a more reliable output. It is also useful to provide a precision low impedance reference voltage for measurement and control systems.The X9C303V8IT1 is also a reliable and precise solution for control systems, using the resistance setting data to set the gains in order to provide the required output.
