The XC17256ELPC20C is a configuration PROM for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). It consists of 256k of non-volatile static random access memory (SRAM). The XC17256ELPC20C comes in a variety of packages ranging from a small 8-pin leadless chip carrier (LCC) to a 176-pin plastic quad flat pack (PQFP).
In its most basic configuration, the XC17256ELPC20C contains an 8-bit wide data bus and two 3-bit address buses. The address space has a maximum size of 4 Mbits and the device can operate in either 8-bit or 16-bit modes. The data output is either synchronous or asynchronous depending on the selected read mode.
