The XC6119N49A7R-G is a 4-Channel Power Supervisor device developed by Exar Corporation, classified under the PMIC - Supervisors category. It consists of two voltage supervisor channels, which can be configured for reset/power up reset (POR) and over/under voltage detection. The input voltage range of the supervisor channels is 2.5V to 5.5V. The POR feature allows the device to reset the system once the input voltage rises to or above the threshold voltage. Meanwhile, the over/under voltage detection feature will detect when the input voltage is above the specified threshold voltage and will trigger an interrupt.The XC6119N49A7R-G also includes four programmable power supply fail-safe features. First, the Over Voltage Reset (OVR) feature will detect when the output voltage exceeds the specified threshold and reset the system. Secondly, the Under Voltage Reset (UVR) function will detect when the output voltage drops below the specified threshold and reset the system. Third, current consumption monitor (CCM) measures the battery current consumption of the DC power source, and when the consumption exceeds the programmed threshold an interrupt will be triggered. Finally, the Output Voltage Monitor (OVM) feature will detect when the output voltage deviates from the programmed voltage range and will trigger an interrupt. All of these features help to ensure that the power source is not affected by overvoltage, undervoltage, high current consumption and deviation from the output voltage range.Figure 2 shows the application circuit of the XC6119N49A7R-G. Its applications mainly include powering of telecommunications and computing devices, battery-powered systems and DC motor control systems.
