The power supply is generally a switched-mode (SMPS) consisting of an inductor, transformer and rectifier, followed by a voltage regulator. The power control unit manages the output voltage to keep the system within its required range, while the power regulation unit controls the voltage level of the output.The supervisor integrated circuit (SIC) monitors the operating conditions of the system, such as temperature, voltage, current, etc. When unexpected events occur, such as over-current or short circuit, it asserts a reset line to the PMIC, which then takes necessary corrective actions. It also handles power on/off sequencing and control, including control of boot up and shut down procedure.The XC6120C302NR-G has a low power consumption rating of 2.7 microamps.
