The watchdog timer monitors system logic and safely resets the system to a known state when abnormal conditions are detected. After the preset time expires, the first watchdog timer output will go low, and stay low until the manual reset (MREQ) input is triggered. The second watchdog timer output goes high during a normal active part of a cycle and will be reset when the watchdog timer times out.

The XC6122C339MR-G includes a fixed output voltage of 3.3V and its accuracy is ±1.25% over a temperature range of -40 to +85°C. It requires a supply voltage range between 2.7V and 5.5V to activate the reset and you can select multiple reset delay times, ranging from 2ms to 100s. The integrated protection circuitry improves device robustness against cable whip and false triggering, in case of an accidental application of the MREQ signal. It also protects the reset pin against overvoltage, undervoltage, and fast edges.
