Working principle

The XC6122C346MR-G uses a bandgap reference circuit to monitor VCC and generate a reset output when VCC falls below a preset threshold. When the VCC power supply voltage reaches or exceeds the minimum operating voltage, the voltage monitor output of the XC6122C346MR-G will remain in the logic low state. Once the input power supply voltage falls below the minimum operating voltage, the voltage monitor output will enter the logic high reset state.

The device also has two independent, internally set thresholds. The first threshold is the power-on reset (POR) threshold, which is used for power supply monitoring. When VCC reaches or exceeds this preset voltage, the voltage monitor output will remain in the logic low state. The second threshold is the voltage monitor reset (VMR) threshold. When the input power supply voltage falls below the preset voltage, the voltage monitor output will enter the logic high reset state.

The XC6122C346MR-G provides the reset delay time to prevent the reset signal from being activated by a transient during power-on. When power-on enable (PON) is applied, the device can delay the output reset signal by specified time to allow the power supply system to become stable. During this period, the reset signal will be non-active. When the delay time is up, the reset signal will be activated and remain in the active state as long as the input power supply voltageVCC is below the VMR threshold.
