XC6122E740ER-G is a two-channel power over voltage protection circuit designed for application field of portable applications. This PMIC – Supervisors device provide many features like ultra-low power consumption, high accuracy, low consumption current and UVLO protection. It is suitable for smart phones, tablets and other portable applications.

It’s built-in OVP (over voltage protection) function can prevent the abnormal rise of the input voltage in the portable application system, avoiding following issues like damage of power management, load interface and system. This over voltage protection circuit is designed to work within the operating range of 1.6V to 6.0V, which offers input voltage monitoring and under voltage locking protection. In addition, the device includes an active low reset output which can provide an signal output to device annd reset a microcontroller when the input voltage is higher than the upper threshold, or lower than the lower threshold.

The XC6122E740ER-G provides active low reset signal, with programmable reset epoch from 10ms up to 45.5s, and reset window from 1.8V to 12V. It offers maximum accuracy at ±1.2% from -10°C to +105°C. The active low reset signal resets a microcontroller when the input voltage is higher than the upper threshold, or lower than the lower threshold.

This device includes two low power pin indicators, which can be connected to the logic detection port on the main control circuit. They can provide abundant information such as whether the power is supplied, OVP is over the threshold, and whether the input voltage is within the normal range. The device can secure typical 3DEGCs power supply when under the condition of 2.5V ≤ Vin ≤ 3V.

The working principle of XC6122E740ER-G is that when the input voltage approaches to the pre-set upper or lower over voltage threshold, the automatic power over voltage protection function will take effect.
