XEB09-I Application Field and Working Principle

RF Receiver, Transmitter, and Transceiver Finished Units are a variety of device categories employed in all kind of consumer products, such as cellular handset, computer peripherals, and even medical devices. Their purpose is to allow for efficient wireless connected communication, as well as for the reception or transmission of signals across long distances. The XEB09-I is a popular RF Receiver, Transmitter, and Transceiver Finished Unit. It features an up to 2.5GHz wideband operation frequency, which is not only able to cover a majority of the world\'s mobile signal bands but also a wide range of non-mobile signals. The XEB09-I includes both internal and external antenna connections, as well as on-chip embedded advanced filtering, LNA, and switch functions, allowing for a user-adjustable maximum transmission power of 14dBm.The XEB09-I is built in a small form factor, measuring just 10 x 10mm, and uses a low-voltage single-supply with a 1.8V to 3.3V DC operation voltage range. This is a critical factor since the input power and digital interface levels must be constant throughout the RF chain for reliable functionality and performance. The XEB09-I is proven to be suitable for a wide variety of applications, such as ultra-slim handsets and consumer product cordless communications, 3G cellular handsets, remote control, navigation system, set-top boxes, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification).

Working Principle

The working principle of the XEB09-I RF Receiver, Transmitter, and Transceiver Finished Unit is based on a combination of analog and digital controls. The analog part of the technology includes the antenna radiation pattern and the directivity control systems. The antenna radiation pattern is a highly directional and adjustable structure which is responsible for the radiation and reception of the signals. The adjustment of the directivity control system is used for controlling the reception and transmission of the signals according to the desired direction. On the other hand, the digital control is responsible for splitting the received signal into its various components such as frequency, bandwidth, and amplitude. The digital control also carries out the frequency conversion of the received signal before further processing, allowing the XEB09-I to operate over an extremely wide frequency range and to be set up easily for various kinds of applications.
