The circuit for the XMS500FR converter utilizes a full bridge rectifier combined with two linear regulators and a switching frequency of 150 kHz. The basic operation of the converter is related from two series of steps that are feedback-controlled, first the voltage is rectified by the full bridge rectifier, after that the filtered AC voltage is fed to the linear voltage regulator which finally sets the output voltage at the desired level.
