XPF2LUG11D is a wave soldering front-light LED which is included in the LED family of circuit board indicators, arrays, light bars, bar graphs, etc. The device is suitable for wave soldering, soldering wave wave catching, and wave flux protection applications.
The XPF2LUG11D consists of a housing that has a wave soldering front-light board mounted within it. The board contains a light source, electronics and optics. The light source is made up of three RGB chips, which generate light in three colors - red, green, and blue. This light source is then split into four discrete paths that are directed toward a wave soldering wave catching lens.
The wave catching lens works by reflecting the light in different directions to create a wave pattern that is used to prevent soldering wave flux from dripping onto the PCB. This prevents the flux from sticking to the board, and also helps keep it from causing an electrical short.
