XQAAWT-00-0000-00000B3F5 are LED Lighting – White lights that are utilised within the LED lighting industry to provide high energy efficiency, long lasting illumination and quality light output. Powered on simply by plugging in, the device consists of an LED chip and a cap to diffuse that light onto the object it is illuminating. The chip itself is composed of phosphors, usually aluminium gallium arsenide (AlGaAs), which emit a very bright light when stimulated by an electric current. It operates in a cathode-anode fashion, with electricity travelling through the chip in a prescribed direction. This conduction causes electrons to be released from the algaas crystal, creating the photons of light which are seen from the outside. As the electrons are released from this matrix, they fill the electron-hole pairs, or ‘quantum wells’, which expel the light outwards. The diffuser cap contains an assortment of transparent optical materials, such as silicone and plastic, to diffuse light and produce a widespread coverage of light. The distancing between the chip and the diffuser cap can be regulated, influencing the strength of the light. A lower distance will produce a much brighter light output.
