XR32330EBER-F is a high performance 3.3V E1/F1 interface transceiver. This device is dedicated for transmitting and receiving data for E1/F1 lines. It is an ideal solution for applications regarding telecommunication, subscriber access and many other applications such as digital broadcasting, radio, and STM-1 data transmission where E1/F1 interface is applicable.

Features of XR32330EBER-F

XR32330EBER-F offers a wide range of features which can support the need of telecommunication applications. Firstly, the integrated E1/F1 interface is compliant with ITU-T G.703 and G.704, ETSI ETS 300-102, and V21(F1). It provides up to 1.544 Mbps and 2.488 Mbps serial data rates in accordance with standards respectively. The maximum input/output voltage is -7V to +7V with direct interface with TTL/CMOS level.Secondly, the transceiver has 2-Wire mode (dialling mode) and 4-Wire mode, external pin selection is used to select the mode. It supports E1/F1 two-way synchronization and data transmission. Furthermore, both local and remote loopback is achievable.Thirdly, XR32330EBER-F supports Clock timing synchronization. The device provides clock reference source of line/local clock, external reference and internal crystal oscillator for selection. Allthe four modes are also selectable.Finally, the device also contains an integrated precision one-shot which is programmable. The one-shot can be time triggered or pulse triggered.

Working Principle of XR32330EBER-F

XR32330EBER-F transceiver consists of two parts: transmitter and receiver. These two parts exchange signal between transmitter host and receiver host.

Receiver

The receiver receives energy waves from the outside world, modulates the waves into electric signals, then processes the signals and sends them to the host.The receiver detects the incoming energy wave carrying the signal information, and converts it into electric signals with the help of an amplifier. Then a clock regenerator is used to ensure that the clock signals are in sync with the signal circuit processor, which is responsible for processing the input signal. At this stage, the signal is demodulated, then parallel processed, frame recognition and error detection are performed. After that, the processed signal is converted into a digital signal and sent to the host.

Transmitter

The transmitter will convert the signal from the host into a modulated energy wave and transmit it through an antenna.Firstly, a digital signal from the host is sent to a signal processor, a data filter is used to filter out useless signal information, then it is sent to a voltage encoder which is responsible for signal encryption. After that, the signal enters a parallel processor which configurations the signal bandwidth and signal transmission rate. The processors are then used to modulate the signal into analogue signal, before it is sent to the antenna.
