XRT5683AID-F is the interface IC for T1/E1 Line Interface Unit (LIU) and T1/E1 Voice Interface Controller (VIC) (B8ZS). It supports a single T1/E1 port, providing all the necessary functions for complete Transmission convergence Layer (TCL) circuit design. This includes a built-in T1/E1 framer as well as various clocks, loop codes, and a host of line-side filters.

As for the application field, XRT5683AID-F can be applied in Telecom, Mobile and communication system, Fiber Optical Communication, Digital Broadcasting System and Multimedia Information System. Furthermore, it is also used in the development of line interface units, LIU, and added tone signals such as calling tones, busy tones, audible tones, ringing tones and balancing coils.

XRT5683AID-F has Transmit and Receive Filters, Hybrid Switch Function and Remote Backplane Mode. The built-in T1/E1 framer generates and receives T1/E1 frames according to international standards. This help with preserving long-haul synchronization and preventing important data from being lost. It also contains 4K PRBS code detection, and the function to test remote receive line from View or directly to CPE.

Transmit and Receive Filters support two Rx & Tx samplers. This allows the Line Interface Circuit to process multiple channels of T1/E1 data simultaneously for data service, eliminating the complicated host board circuitry for jitter, noise and environment disturbances. XRT5683AID-F is also equipped with a pair of hybrid switch function, allowing customers to select remote, host or a combination of host, remote.

XRT5683AID-F has an Interface 4 Layer bus with 32 lines and 4 chipSelects. This provides the data access to the host board. The lines provides the necessary communication interface between the remote station and the host board. It also supports the remote backplane mode, allowing the customer to access their remote-side devices without having to connect wire to things.
