A radio frequency (RF) antenna is a device that radiates, receives, or simultaneously both radiates and receives signals in the radio frequency spectrum. YB3805 is widely used in high-frequency communication, satellite communication, mobile and fixed communication, civil and military communication, high-frequency radar, high-frequency jamming, microwave instrumentation, etc. Additionally, it is applicable to the microwave electronic components and surveillance equipment.
YB3805 working principle
YB3805 is a monopole-type antenna, and it consists of an antenna rod and four whip antennas. Its function is as follows. When emitting radio signals, the electromagnetic energy is processed by AC-DC conversion and then output from the antenna. When receiving radio signals, the electromagnetic energy is input to the antenna and then processed by DC-AC conversion.
The antenna rod operates in a monopole-style radiation mode. That is, when the antenna transmit signals, the electromagnetic waves with the same phase and intensity are radiated out from the antenna\'s top and bottom ends, and the radiation pattern on the vertical plane is cruciform. When receiving radio signals, it can effectively receive the signals from the two directions perpendicular to the antenna.
Moreover, the four whip antennas are installed in the four directions of the antenna\' surface. When these whip antennas transmit signals, the antenna\'s radiation pattern is omnidirectional. When receiving signals, the antenna can effectively receive signals from four directions. Thus, YB3805 antenna has advantages in both transmission and reception.
