Working Principle

YNC500001 consists of a three-stage differential phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit. The filtered signal is then passed through the phase frequency detector (PFD) which compares the phase and frequency of the input signal to the output signal of the VCO.Once the phase and frequency of the input signal matches the output signal of the VCO, the PFD sends a signal to the charge-pump which controls the current flowing to the VCO. If the input and VCO output signals are out of synchronization, the PFD will adjust the charge pump current and the VCO output frequency, thereby keeping the input and VCO output in synchronization.
