The working principle of YXBL3.70T PTC resettable fuse is based on the PTC nonlinear temperature coefficient of resistance.When the input current is lower than fixed, its resistance is low and conduction current is larger. When the input current gets larger, Its resistance keeps decreases and its temperature reaches the point where the temperature coefficient of resistance dramatically rises. This leads to the trapped current voltages exceeds the specified fuse\'s design voltage. This increases the PTC\'s temperature to the point where it becomes an open circuit and current is interrupted.
Due to the nonlinear temperature coefficient, the PTC fuse has self-recovery capability. When the fault condition is eliminated and the temperature is reduced to a certain extent, the overcurrent protection device automatically restores its electrical characteristics and circuit current can be continued. This fast recovery action reduces the likelyhood of nuisance tripping and reduces the failure time of overcurrent protection.
The YXBL3.70T has low power consumption, fast response time, low temperature coefficient and wide operating temperature range.
