Common Mode Chokes

The Z21 application field and working principle is closely related to common mode chokes, which are used to stop electromagnetic interference. A common mode choke is a type of passive device used to reduce electromagnetic interference, or EMI, and radio-frequency interference, or RFI. These chokes are often used in power supply lines, coaxial cables, and audio/video cables, where voltage ripple can cause distortion of a signal or even switching noise.
