The ZL9010MEVAL1Z evaluation board is a DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) evaluation board. It is typically used for SMPS topology evaluation and characterization, such as continuous conduction mode (CCM) boost. This board can provide up to 3 amps of output current.

As the power switch turns ON, the primary side of the transformer starts to charge the magnetizing inductance. The energy is magnetically coupled to the secondary side and is rectified and filtered by the secondary side diode D1, C1 & C2, which will provide the regulated output voltage.

The adaptive voltage scaling (AVS) feature minimizes output voltage change when current varies from 5% to 95%. The board also adopts Load Regulation and Holdup features, to ensure the load current regulation and latch-up prevention. Moreover, the board provides an instant-off output characteristic control which can effectively reduce the input current up to 90%.
