The ZMC05TC is a current transducer based on the principle of the Rogowski coil. It is designed to measure AC or DC currents of up to 5 A in a wide range of industrial and residential applications.The ZMC05TC is composed of the main Rogowski coil, a system of signal acquisition, and a display. The core is composed of a light and flexible Rogowski coil, whith a glass-fiber-reinforced housing outside. The Rogowski coil is kept in a stable state with the help of the built-in positioning clip. It uses a fully passive system that does not require any external power supply.The Rogowski coil principle converts a current signal into a voltage signal though an electrostatic inductor. This is achieved by coupling an induced voltage through the turns of a Rogowski coil. The Rogowski coil has no physical core, so its inductance is not affected by changes in core permeability. It can accurately measure currents without saturation and remain linear even at high currents.The signal acquisition system of the ZMC05TC is composed of a signal conditioning unit, analogue to digital converters and a microcontroller. It is known as the control unit and responsible for processing the signal from the Rogowski coil. The analogue to digital converter amplifies the signal from the Rogowski coil and converts it into a digital signal. The microcontroller is the brain of the system, it performs the necessary calculations and sends the information to the display.The display of the ZMC05TC shows the measured current in the form of Analog or Digital outputs. It is composed of an LCD Panel, which shows the measured values. Additionally, the display also shows other information such as current direction, maximum and minimum currents and alarms.In conclusion, the ZMC05TC is a reliable and robust current transducer that is suitable for a wide range of industrial and residential applications.
