The ZMN24HPDK-B is based on the CC2530 and combines the Texas Instruments CC2591 RF Front-End Solution which is used to increase transmit power and reduce susceptibility to interferers.Application Fields
The RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards ZMN24HPDK-B is used by engineers to test, develop, and prototype their 2.4GHz wireless designs for Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) applications such as those based on IEEE 802.15.4, Zigbee, and 6loWPAN protocols. The ZMN24HPDK-B provides reliable transmission and reduced time to market for developers working on LPWAN applications. The kit provides 2 transceivers that support a range of up to 500 m outdoors and up to 200 m indoors. The board is available with different software stacks such as Zigbee, 6LowPAN, Wireless M-Bus, and Energino, so engineers can quickly develop and evaluate their LPWAN designs.Working Principles
The ZMN24HPDK-B is based on the Texas Instruments CC2530 System-on-Chip (SOC) and uses the CC2591 RF Front-End Solution to increase transmit power and reduce susceptibility to interferers. The CC2591 improves efficiency by up to 30%, increases the link budget up to 9.6 dB and reduces current consumption, making it ideal for low power wireless applications. The kit includes two separate boards that use a common antenna. One board is a transmitter board, and the other is a receiver board. The board connects to the antenna via a coaxial connector. The transmitter and receiver boards each have an on-board CC2530F256 microcontroller, which is operated using the Texas Instruments SmartRF Studio programming software.The ZMN24HPDK-B also includes the CC2590 2.4GHz radio transceiver, which is used to transmit and receive signals from the antenna. The CC2590 provides an RF link budget of over 90 dBm, allowing for a range of up to 500 m outdoors and up to 200 m indoors.The kit also includes a debug board, allowing engineers to debug both the transmitter and receiver boards.
