ZXFV204N8TA is a 4-line Vertical Deflection Output Amplifiers which is suitable for the applications such as color TVs, CRT monitors, word processors, and especially is used in the TV broadcast field. It is fabricated with Shimogawara Electric Co., Ltd.\'s original VDMOS technology and has an excellent switching characteristics.
The standard operating supply voltage is designed to be supplied with 5 V. The supplies of less than 5.2 V also can be supplied. The maximum current capability is 1 A and It is equipped with a protector (Saturation Output) for large deflection current. Variable gain and output offset current adjustment are also possible.
The ZXFV204N8TA works by amplifying input signals from the TV\'s vertical deflection generator, and output them to the vertical deflection yoke. The amplifier is designed to perform 4 line array output with high efficiency, maintaining a low voltage drop, whilst delivering a high output current with low distortion.
The design compromises involve ensuring that the amplifier has sufficient output power to drive the deflection yoke but at the same time meeting the tight specification of the CRT. This is achieved by using two MOSFETS in a Class B configuration to provide the necessary accuracy. The current is limited by the use of a series setting resistor, ensuring that the output is not overloaded. Additional circuitry compensates for temperature variations, ensuring that the amplifier has a high degree of linearity.
