AD650KN is a voltage/frequency (V/F) and frequency/voltage (F/V) converter device manufactured by Analog Devices, Inc. It is a monolithic integrated circuit device with a single-supply operation from 2.5V to 11V and a wideband input/output range of 0 to 5MHz.The AD650KN is a frequency-to-voltage converter (F/V converters) designed to accept a wide range of input frequencies up to 5MHz and convert them into corresponding voltage outputs. It is built using a 76dB logarithmic amplifier circuit, followed by a precision integrator that forms the building block of its overall topology.The device comes with a low-scale frequency range of 0.01Hz up to a maximum of 5MHz. Its high accuracy and temperature stability of ±0.06% from −45°C to +105°C in its operating temperature range makes the AD650KN a reliable device for use in a variety of applications. The device also features an integrated precision reference circuit consisting of an ultra stable resistor and an amplifier configured to deliver an output voltage of 1.235V to the logarithmic amplifier section of the device. This voltage is used as a reference for generating the control voltage of the device and is also used as the TRIM. The AD650KN is used in a wide range of applications, such as industrial automation, frequency-to-analog signal conversion, data acquisition, robotics, servo motor control, closed-loop current control, power supplies, and many more.In industrial automation, the AD650KN is used in applications where measurements and periodic signals are needed.
