Architecture

Working Principle

The Renesas R5F5631EDBG#U0 operates using the following six basic steps when executing an instruction: Fetch, Decode, Execute, Memory Access, Memory Store, and Interrupts. First, the instruction is fetched from the program memory (Flash or ROM) and stored in the instruction register. Then, the instruction is decoded by the Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) and an appropriate operation is performed. The ALU then accesses data in memory or stores result data in memory. Finally, the ALU checks the interrupt enable bit in order to detect any enabled interrupts and start processing them.
