Utilizing the Enhanced Mid-Range Core; the processor provides a leap in performance over the 16-bit architectures, while providing simultaneous power and cost savings.The Enhanced Mid-Range Core provides increased instruction throughput, improved interrupt response and latency, expanded peripheral support and an optimized execution engine. The enhanced core has added two-level vector table addressing, an improved return stack, support for 16 level nesting and low interrupt latency. The processor also supports optimized traffic control and real-time clock via interrupts.
