Working Principle

The 1.5CE15A BK diode is an integrated, bi-directional, dual-diode, that is able to provide ESD protection to the DC/DC converters and ICs on printed circuit boards (PCBs). It provides high surge/ESD protection with excellent clamping capabilities for currents ranges up to 15A. The device also features a low dynamic impedance during avalanches, enabling switching applications with high rates of change and high rated current.The device also provides an excellent pulse wave filtering, due to its low capacitance and selective suppression ability. It can suppress the energy of high-current bursts and surge, while avoiding quenching of normal microprocessor operations during transient duration.The device provides high voltage protection and EMI/EMC data communication line protection. It can be used in combination with high frequency capacitors and/or inductors to help reduce excessive electromagnetic energy and improve long-term EMI/EMC performance.
