The connector is highly reliable, and offers a larger group of lines and a higher current rating for numerous applications.The working principle behind this backplane connector is relatively simple. When two mating pins are mated, the contact area of the two pins is compressed to create a physical contact area. This contact area creates an electrical connection that can facilitate data, power, or signals. The more pressure that is applied to the contact area, the firmer the contact is. It is also important to note that the pin pitch also plays an important role in the creation of an electrical connection.
