Working Principle

The working principle of 1432791-1 is based on two different states: a normally closed state and a normally open state. In the normally closed state, the contact of the power relay is usually “on”, which means it will connect two ends of a circuit to complete current flowing process; in the normally open state, the contact of the power relay is usually “off”, which means it will disconnect two ends of a circuit to stop current flowing process.

Under the control of electromagnetic field, the power relay will switch between these two different states. When the coil receives signal to drive the electromagnetic field, the core will be magnetically driven and then drive the moving contact to move, thus connecting or disconnecting two ends of the circuit and controlling the current to flow or not.

Structure

1432791-1 consists of five main components, which are frame, armatures, coil, contacts and springs. The frame is to protect and fix the whole structure of the power relay. The armature is mechanically driven by electromagnetic force to open and close the contacts. The coil is to generate the electromagnetic field which generates the driving force for the armature.
