Incandescents

Incandescent lamps, which are still the most widely used type of lamp, burn only around 10 percent of the electricity they use to produce light. The other 90 percent is heat. Neon Lamps

Neon lamps are gas-discharge lamps filled with a mixture of argon and mercury vapor. Neons have a very long life and are commonly used as indicators or warning lights and signs. They are also used in specialized lighting applications, such as in lava lamps, certain types of street lights, decorative lighting, and more.
