Working Principle

The strength of this field is proportional to the potential difference between the two electrodes. This electric field acts as an insulator, preventing the anode from leaking any charge. When the electric field reaches its full potential, the capacitor is said to be fully charged.When the capacitor is discharged, the charge stored in the anode is released, resulting in a current flowing between the anode and the cathode. This current is known as the discharge current and it is responsible for providing energy to the circuit.
