Working Principle

The way that 1555 OR005 cables work is relatively straightforward. Firstly, the cable is made up of an annealed .005" (0.127mm) stranded tinned copper conductor, which is covered with a polyolefin insulation. This insulation helps to protect the copper conductor from any external damages, and the tinning process increases the conductor\'s conductivity and helps to reduce the amount of electrolytic corrosion on its surface.

Once the cable is in place, electrons flow through the cable as electricity. The electricity enters the cable from one end and then travels down the copper conductor. The insulation prevents the electricity from short-circuiting, and as the electricity reaches the end of the conductor, it returns into the system, thus completing the electrical circuit.

1555 OR005 is specially designed with a wide range of applications in mind. As its temperature rating is 0 to 105°C, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. In addition, it is a UL listed product, indicating that it meets or exceeds US safety standards.
