Coaxial Connectors (RF)

Coaxial connectors, also known as RF connectors, are used in many applications ranging from miles of broadcast towers to downlinks on transportable satellite antennas. The 1711-60008 is a two-conductor, characteristic impedance 50 ohm, locking RF coaxial connector. The connector is designed for semi-rigid and flexible coaxial cable types. Its ergonomic design and robust construction make this plug ideal for repeated short board-to-board mating. The metallic shell is threaded internally and externally. Threaded compounds are used externally for additional environmental sealing capabilities.

The 1711-60008 has a male Right Angle 6- Screw-Jack (RA6SJ) plug connector with an F connector interface. It has a frequency range from 0-12.4 GHz. The contact resistance is below 4m ohm while the dielectric strength is above 2000V. The impedance is 75±2 ohm or 50 ohm. The 1711-60008 is usually operated in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +125°C.

The working principle of the 1711-60008 is fairly straightforward. The inner and outer pins are designed to create a solid electrical connection between the cable and the connector.
