180M-51LFT is a high-performance Clock/Timing device. It is a combination of a clock generator and a frequency syntheziser, capable of providing multiple simultaneous Clock/Timing outputs. The device is suitable for industrial, automotive, aerospace, and medical applications.
180M-51LFT applies the pulse width modulation (PWM) system for controlling the frequency that it generates. The PWM system consists of a reference oscillator and an internal frequency synthesizer. The reference oscillator provides the center frequency which is used by the frequency synthesizer to provide frequencies that are adjustable to the 90% mark.
The 180M-51LFT also utilizes a phase-locked loop (PLL) process for regulating frequency output. The PLL includes a voltage-controlled oscillator, a frequency divider and a phase-locked loop. The voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) uses the reference oscillator\'s output to generate the oscillation frequency. The frequency divider divides the VCO frequency and feeds it to the phase-locked loop.
The phase-locked loop matches the frequency of the VCO frequency to the reference oscillator\'s frequency. The resulting output frequency is based on the frequency of the reference oscillator plus the adjustability of the frequency synthesizer. Once the PLL is locked, all of the output frequencies are also locked.
180M-51LFT application fields cover industrial, automotive, space and medical applications. Industrial applications include consumer electronics, communication, automotive and industrial control.
