Terminal blocks, headers, plugs, and sockets, commonly just referred to collectively as terminal blocks, are a type of electrical connection which consists of several connecting pieces. When pushed together, the two strips make contact, allowing an electric current to pass safely between them.Header and plug technology is a little different to electrical terminal blocks, as these are designed not for electrical circuits, but for plumbing or digital applications. This technology is commonly found in both residential and commercial buildings, as a way to quickly and easily connect two components.The most common types of header and plug technology consist of connectors that are used to join two components in an instant, cutting out the need for soldering. For example, there are often plugs found on the ends of cables, such as HDMI cables, to make a connection quickly and easily.Terminal blocks are incredibly useful little devices, and depending on the type and what it\'s used for, can provide a very secure connection between two components quite easily. The three main types, electrical, header and plug, have different applications fields and working principles, but all provide a fast and secure connection.
