A plug or socket is the other component which is used in connection with the header. It typically consists of two parts: a connector, which can be either screw or spring loaded; and a socket, which provides the final connection. In most cases the plug or socket is fitted with either a current or voltage rating which can be easily measured by testing the voltage or current with a multimeter. Terminal blocks are often used for power distribution, control systems and signal transmission. In power distribution, they are used to connect multiple conductors in a circuit, allowing for power and control signals to flow from one point to another. In control systems, they are often used to connect multiple electrical components, such as relays, switches and circuit breakers. Finally, in signal transmission, terminal blocks provide an efficient way to send electrical signals over long distances. Overall, terminal blocks are an essential and versatile tool which provide a safe and efficient way to connect multiple electrical components.
