In electronics, a diode is a two-terminal electrical device that has a negative resistance junction between its two terminals, allowing electrical current to flow in one direction with minimal resistance, while blocking current from flowing in the opposite direction. A rectifier diode is a semiconductor device which has a single element and primarily functions in either the forward or reverse conduction mode. Specifically, the 1N5395GPHE3/54 diode is designed for general use applications, such as reverse-voltage protection and diode-bridge rectification.
