The 1SMB5928BT3G is a single-chip, low-power, high-precision Zener diode specially designed for use in the field of low voltage embedded system design and power supply.

The working principle of a Zener diode is based on its symmetry. Generally, when the forward bias voltage is higher than the Zener voltage, or when the reverse bias voltage exceeds the Zener voltage, the diode breaks down and appears as a low-resistance line between the two points.

In the forward bias state, when the forward voltage applied to the terminal exceeds the Zener voltage, an avalanche effect occurs, and the largest current that the 1SMB5928BT3G can withstand is 3A. In the reverse bias state, when the reverse voltage is greater than the Zener voltage, the diode works in reverse breakdown.
