1XE8 Application Field and Working Principle
The 1XE8 are the world’s first all-in-one self-powered Snap Action, Limit Switch family. Designed to provide an all-in-one solution, they can be used in numerous applications, from motors and position/angle detection to door and window control.
Application Field
The 1XE8 are suited for a variety of applications, from home appliances, motors and valves to industrial applications. They can be employed in different ways, such as position/angle detection, contactor anticipation, and door/window control.
In terms of home appliances, the 1XE8 are ideal for creating indispensable switching devices which can improve the efficiency of any operation. One way these switches can be used is to sense the position of a handle, then adjust its speed accordingly or stop the operation altogether. These switches can also work as contactors, making them ideal for use in small motors and valves, as they deliver high-precision contact control.
Industrial applications are another great use of the 1XE8 switches. They can be used as door and window controllers, with the switches able to sense the opening angle of a door or window and accurately control the controlling motors. This helps to improve the efficiency of the entire process, while also providing a secure environment.
Working Principle
The 1XE8 switches are based on a snap-action spring mechanism which is designed to quickly open or close an electrical circuit when certain conditions are met. To detect these conditions, a number of mechanical components are used, including an alignment pin, a push button, and a contact arm.
When the alignment pin is moved to a certain position, the push button is triggered, forcing the contact arm to move. This movement causes the electrical contacts to open or close, creating a new circuit and thus providing the desired control.
This snap-action is fast and extremely accurate, making the switches ideal for a wide range of applications. Furthermore, these switches are self-powered, meaning they require no external power source and can operate without fail.
