Fixed inductors are passive two-terminal electrical components that store energy in the form of magnetic fields. They are generally used in various electronic circuits as components for regulating signal flow and filtering out unwanted signals. In particular, 2107-V-RC fixed inductors are a type of variable differential tuned inductor that is widely used for AC power applications in industrial, commercial and military industries.
Application Field
The main purpose of 2107-V-RC fixed inductors is to act as a filter. In general, they are used to allow certain frequencies to pass through a complete AC circuit while suppressing or cutting out others. This makes them effective in regulating signal frequencies, filtering out interfering signals, and eliminating harmonic oscillation along with noise in electronic equipment. These inductors are also very useful for power regeneration, high-frequency bandwidth control, and reactance control as well.
Working Principle
2107-V-RC fixed inductors are designed in a differential topology, which is composed of two inductors wound in opposite directions. This construct ensures that the inductors don’t interfere or influence each other, and can be controlled independently. This type of inductor also employs a ferrite core, which uses a special magnetic material in order to increase the inductance and therefore reduce the physical size of the inductor.
The inductor is connected to two external windings; the input, and the output. Its core is connected to voltage and current sources, which sends signals that creates magnetic fields around the coil that can be changed by adjusting the signals. By controlling the signal magnitude, a portion of the signal input is eliminated, leaving only the desired frequency to pass through the coil. This eliminates any noise or interfering frequencies from the output. The acquired power is then sent out to other components of the circuit.
2107-V-RC fixed inductors have a wide range of application thanks to their adjustable, convenient design. Through the use of a specialized ferrite core, and two windings in opposite directions, a highly efficient filter is created that can be used to reduce noise levels, filter out unwanted signals, and keep the desired signal from fading. This makes them an essential tool for power matching, frequency control, and reactance control.
