The 24LC024T-E/MNY is a member of the 24LC family of Serial EEPROM or Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory devices. As an EEPROM, the 24LC024T-E/MNY can store up to 24K bytes of data which can be read and written to over a two-wire interface. The device also offers an industry standard I2C serial interface making it easy to integrate into existing applications. It offers page write functionality which allows up to 32 bytes of data to be written to the device in a single access cycle and word address pointer functionality that simplifies the reading of specific data locations in the device\'s memory array.

The 24LC024T-E/MNY is suitable for use in many consumer electronic products, industrial and automotive applications, such as audio and video systems, consumer electronics, industrial process control, automotive and medical instrumentation. This device is often used when it is important to store data that needs to remain in a non-volatile form for a long period of time and can easily be updated without being removed from the system.

The 24LC024T-E/MNY provides all the control and logic necessary to interface directly to a microcontroller or any other microprocessor/microcomputer interface. If the read bit is a \'1\' the data will be read from the device, otherwise it is a \'write\' and data will be written to the device in the following data byte.

The 24LC024T-E/MNY device is 8-pin device and needs to be connected to a power supply consisting of a VCC and GND connection. The SDA and SCL pins need to be connected to two open drain/open collector pins of a microcontroller or other microcomputer interface. It is also recommended to have a pull up resistor between the pin and VCC to provide a reference voltage.
