The 24LC04BT-E/MNY is a 4Kb serial EEPROM memory chip and belongs to the family of One-Time Programmable (OTP) and Electrically Erasable Programmable (EEPROM) memories. The 24LC04BT-E/MNY is based on EPROM technology and is organized as four 64-byte blocks. The device is designed to store data up to the maximum of 3K x 8 bits. To erase a page in program memory, the number of bytes to be erased must be specified in the status command. In the write command, the source address and an optional write length must be specified. All data in the program memory must first be erased before it can be written. The memory also uses a write-protect feature, which helps to prevent accidental erasure or corruption of the data in the program memory.

The 24LC04BT-E/MNY allows for two types of data access – burst and single.
