Working Principle

The Memory Control Logic (MCL) controls the read, write, and erase cycle of the 25AA640AT-E/MS. The memory can be written to and read from through programming or erase cycles, or data may be written to the memory one byte at a time.
During programming, data is first written to the register, and then programmed into the memory cell array. The data is then stored in the memory until it is erased. The erase cycle is activated when a specific voltage is applied to the chip select line. Upon completion of the erase, the memory array is reset to all 0s.
