The 25C080-I/P is a type of I2C serial 3-terminal, 32KB, electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM). It is capable of being operated either in the I2C-bus protocol mode (standard, fast and high-speed mode) or in the three-wire serial protocol mode. This memory is pin compatible and functionally equivalent to the Microchip technologies 24AA08 device.
The 25C080-I/P is ideal for code storage, parameters and data storage, etc. It is capable of being interfaced with many different microcontrollers. The device is capable of retaining data for up to 1 million write cycles and 10-year data retention.
The application field for 25C080-I/P is mainly in embedded system applications, where the device can be used for code storage, parameter and data storage. The working principle of 25C080-I/P is based on its serial bus control signals and status flag registers.
